Are there different rules or benefits to hunting on your own private land?
My family owns a ridiculously large plot of land that has everything from wild horses, deer, turkey, and rabbits on it and I was wondering do laws/rules differ if you do things on your own land. My father said his dad (my grandpa), uncles. and friends would hunt on the land all the time. Especially rabbit as they was a large farm on it at one time and some crops still grow wildly on their own. The land is in Mississippi and this only came up (and not sure why I never thought of this) because I was wanting to go boar hunting in Georgia with a buddy and he said he had a friend whose family owns hunting land in Alabama, so I asked my dad who owns entirely too many guns if he had any hunting rifles (he didn't) but he suggested MS, since we own land out there.
