I have a new problem when trying to write, not sure what to do
Most people struggle with writer's block, and that was my only problem once too, but I recently developed this weird mental thing. A year ago I started noticing how loud cars were when they were passing by my street. Then it got really annoying. I started especially noticing those loud engine cars usually driven by teenagers. Over the months, I think I developed some OCD because whenever I hear a car I get extremely annoyed and lose my train of thought. This past month, it's gotten worse. When there is silence at my home I close my ears because I don't want to hear any cars coming. I usually turn on the TV to block out the noise. I stopped going to my room unless I'm sleeping because I very clearly hear all the annoying loud engine ferrari cars douchebags drive in at night. Before, I used to write almost every day, but now, I'm scared to write because I know I'll hear a car sound every 5 seconds and lose my train of thought and feel like the car is stealing my energy or something. I know it's stupid. It's like one thing you notice one day that becomes way too big. And now it's gotten really big, and I can barely write or go outside for a walk anymore. I was planning to finish my novel this year but I have this OCD thing about cars now. What am I supposed to do? I'm really sorry if this seems weird. I haven't talked to anyone about this. My sister has this thing too, but with noises like people eating. I think my annoyance with cars is worse because I just can't handle it, I have to block my ears or hit a wall sometimes because it's so annoying. I can't just stop getting annoyed, it feels like the cars are winning in my brain but I know that's crazy, it's just a minor thing that has gone too far. My annoyance with cars is even spreading to other things like people drinking water bottles. I didn't want help before but now that this is affecting my writing, I have to stop it no matter what.
