Does Rehgar lightning shield radius increase depending on target?

If I cast lightning shield on a Diablo, the visual effects on it will look much larger than if cast on an Illidan. Is that just a visual thing, or does it mean it will actually damage enemies in a larger radius if cast on a larger target?
