Getting over the "over this job" hump
I'm coming up on my one year anniversary with publix, and to say I'm tired of it is putting it lightly. Frankly I'm tired of being cursed out by the customers at my check stand, I'm tired of burning to death in the lot because I'm not allowed to wear shorts as a cashier. I'm tired of being overlooked for CSS. I'm tired of my store manager being a less than favorable man to the associates. I'm tired of the retail store life style. I'm tired of working 5 days in a row then getting a day off and going right back to work. How do yall get past it? It's getting harder and harder to wake up and drag myself to my store. The only thing I like about the place now is my coworkers, not my managers just my coworkers. In a store where hardly anyone goes the extra mile and then ones that do (like me) end up getting all the work put on them especially our FSCs most of them are minors who don't want to work. So what do y'all do to make it more bearable to get up and go to work everyday?
