Cut my thumb last Thursday. It's healing, but not quickly, and there's clotted blood under the healed area. Should I take any other actions?

Last Wednesday (6/7), I was a dumbass and was holding bread the wrong way while slicing it with a serrated bread knife. I cut around 1/4" into my thumb. I immediately put pressure on the wound and alternated gauze, all the while holding it above my heart level, to put a stop to the bleeding. Once the bleeding had stopped I cleaned the wound out with peroxide, put on a bandage with generic triple antibiotic ointment, and changed it a few hours later with new ointment.

I changed to fresh bandages twice a day for a few days (each time with ointment) and after four days or so, took off the bandages when I showered each morning.

It's a week and change later. The cut is healing slowly but there's some clotted blood at the boundary of where the cut took place. Should I be concerned? It also seems like it's not healing so swiftly, there's still a visible part of the laceration. Barely visible, but still there.

Should I keep on with fresh bandages and ointment? Or at this point should I see a doctor before things get worse? It doesn't hurt, there's no pus nor has there been.
