Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Traditional form factor preferred. Longer battery life is preferred, but 5-6 hours is ok. Best specs is important.
-
How important is weight and thinness to you? Important, but not critical. Should be under 6 lbs, I don't need something ultra sleek and slim.
-
Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows
-
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. Minimum 15 in.
-
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. I'll be doing CAD, programming, and some light gaming.
-
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Probably just minecraft. It would be nice to be able to play fallout or dishonored on my laptop but not essential.
-
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Optical drive a big plus, at least 8gb of ram.

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. Right now I'm leaning toward this Lenovo Ideapad because it seems to have a good value and will last for at least four years.
I'm also considering this Acer Aspire VX 15. My concerns with the acer are that the i5 might not meet my needs and that it doesn't look professional.
I'm also considering this dell inspiron
edit: Opinions on the Aspire E15?
