How bad for me is gagging to the point of throwing up?

So my girlfriend and I have been working on re-exploring to discover new stuff that gets us hot and bothered. I love going down on her, especially deepthroating, to the point of gagging so she had the brilliant idea of sticking me in the shower so she could keep going when it was too much for me.

It was gross as fuck, but also sexy as can be. Doing it in the shower made clean-up very straight forward too.

That's all of the awesome stuff, but I also know that throwing up over and over again isn't good for me. Does anyone know how I would figure out a safe interval for this specific play so that I don't end up hurting myself? Is there any good stuff I can do to sooth my throat and speed recovery?
