[Advice] The difference between Iron Fist and Daredevil
(For anyone not familiar, Iron Fist and Daredevil are martial-arts based superheroes who have gotten their own shows in the last few years)
Despite the fact that Iron Fist technically has access to more power, the general consensus is that Daredevil is a far more effective hero. The reason for this is that Iron Fist requires significantly more variables to go right in order to be effective. In the words of [this comment] (https://www.reddit.com/r/whowouldwin/comments/6hmexz/darth_vader_vs_mcu_defenders_in_an_hallway/dizduci/) on r/whowouldwin :
If Danny (Iron Fist) has had a really good day and ate a nice breakfast and remembered to take all his vitamins and maybe had a nap that afternoon, and nobody insulted him or made him think sad thoughts about his family, and all of the pretty girls have been really nice to him and didn't reveal that they were actually members of the ancient, evil organization that he is sworn to remove from the face of the earth, and his chi is in alignment and there's a happy song playing and maybe a butterfly drifts in front of him, borne by a light breeze, then maybe, just maybe Danny can summon the Iron Fist.
The comment is tongue-in-cheek, but it gets across the point.
Daredevil, on the other hand, can be depressed, nearly dead, have just been left by all his friends, and still manage to kick ass and get shit done. Now, daredevil still prepares and meditates and eats breakfast and gets his vitamins, but he doesn't fall to pieces if he misses a couple of those.
The point is that it's not about getting everything lined up perfectly, it's about recognizing that everything's not going to be lined up perfectly, but doing what you need to do anyway. You can wait for the perfect running gear, stretch routine, and motivational song, or you can just go for a fucking run.
