Pedophile rings going down all over the place

Maybe I am just now noticing, but:

Is it just me or have pedophile rings been going down a lot over the past year or so? I just now heard of another one on the radio here in the Los Angeles area. I am asking because I have not been hearing about this at all for a long time, and all of a sudden, very recently (since Trump became the front runner for the Republican Party?) there have been pedophile rings getting exposed all over the place...
