Farming during midgame

When mid game comes, my ADC often comes to my lane and takes most of my farm. This happens pretty much every game, at least in silver. I'm scared to take farm from other lanes because either 1) a team fight erupts or 2) I get pinged off and I don't take the farm as to not tilt top/adc. While I can waveclear, repeatedly spamming Q-W or Q-W-E takes a lot of mana. Should I just take farm from bot if this happens?
