Surface Pro 2017 slow wifi.

So my wifi speed was fine on day 1 but now on day 2 its slowed to a crawl. Evidently this is a known issue with Surfaces with the Marvell wifi chip which sometimes can be fixed by tinkering around in the registry. (Im on Bell Canada internet) Anyone else? This is a dealbreaker if I gotta tinker with the registry every time i get on a different wifi network.
