WoW on a Mac, I'm liking it!
I just sold my powerhouse of a gamer computer and bought the new iMac 5k with Radeon Pro 580 8 GB GPU, and while coming from a GTX 1070, it wasn't as terrible as I expected.
I'm running 5k resolution at high settings (not ultra) at a 65-85 fps while not recording my screen, which I think is pretty impressive for a Mac and it would probably be even better running Windows on Bootcamp.
But then I tried to use some of MacOS' last year features like Picture in Picture and Siri in while playing WoW and the experience was amazing. I can now search the web with my own assistant while playing WoW without having to exit the game or minimise it. I can also watch any kind of video while playing without having to use an external monitor or scaling WoW to a smaller size.
I put a video on Youtube showcasing it, and notice the FPS is at around 35-45 while recording, so it's not giving full credits to the actual performance.
What do you think, is there an alternative to this on Windows, or maybe you already figured this out many years ago with third party apps? Leave a comment and let me know of your opinion.
And please keep the comment thread somewhat nice, since I know we PC gamers aren't so much into Macs, but I thought this was cool no matter if it was on a Mac or PC :)
