weird DHCP observation
We run 2x windows server 2012 R2 with the DHCP service installed in a 50/50 load balanced state.
When someone want to administer DHCP remotely using RSAT and the DHCP MMC, our DHCP01 server shows up in the list of servers twice. The first entry is the valid entry and the valid IP address of the server. The second entry is the same name but the IP of the DHCP02. DHCP02 is the third entry and has the proper name/IP.
So I found this post which lead me to looking into the domain configuration and low and behold, DHCP01 has 2 values in the "dhcpServers" property which explains the duplicate entry.
Can someone else who is running 50/50 confirm if they see this behavior or has someone else witnessed this issue?
Thanks for reading. Have a good weekend all.
