Do you lose ships unlocked when pressing return to hangar?

I always let the ships destroy me when I unlock a ship to be safe. I've never tried to restart or return to hangar after unlocking a ship, not even when accidentally unlocking the Rock.

Can someone tell me if I'll lose my Crystal Cruiser by pressing reset?
