Here's how I got my mods working again (x posted in r/GTAV)
If you're like me, and you let your game update, not knowing it would break modding, then you may be a bit upset. I did figure out how to get all of my mods working though. With the new update, along with a new dlc folder, there were 3 files changed. GTA5.exe, GTA5Launcher.exe, and installscript.vdf. In my case, I have 3 backups of my game folder, so I simply replaced the new files with those old ones. Next, because I use a mod that requires RagePluginHook (RH), I needed that to work as well. The problem was that RH updated as well. (My fault). I was on version 52, which supports gta version 1032, and now I got updated to version 53, which only supports gta version 1033. Once RH builds an update, they remove the previous version. So I couldn't download the older one. Luckily, I never trashed my zip download of version 52, so I deleted RH 53 and reinstalled 52. Now I am back to where I was before anything got updated. At this point, I decline any RH update, and turn off auto update in Steam. Now for some reason, RH wouldn't launch GTA anymore, and I thought crap. This is it. Then I decided to try and launch GTA first and then RH. Well that worked like a charm, and now, here I am, playing GTA V again, with all of my mods working.
So if you have a game backup, and a copy of RH 52, you'll be fine. If not, we can work something out where I can post it somewhere.
Spread the word.
