Hi! I attempted to open a bank account, but found out I was blacklisted.

Other

I am not sure what is going on. I've never had any issues with a checking account because I've never had one, I don't have any credit cards, and my savings account from when I was a child is more than fine.

I'm a 23 year old college student that just wanted to open an account with the bank across the street from me (Radius) but I was denied because of "information found on Chex System". I don't really want to wait 15 business days to find out what is "wrong" (????) before disputing it. Is there a faster way to do this? Could it be something else that I am not sure of? I'm sure nowhere else will allow me to open an account if I am on Chex System with negative information that got my application instantly denied from Radius.

Also, while I am here -- I was curious as to what type of account would be best for me to open and where. I don't have much experience with money, banking, etc because my parents handle everything and I want to take the first step towards being independent. While researching, I found Captial One's 360 online banking and it seemed fine. I just want somewhere to keep my money and have a debit card.

Thank you for your help
