I get gendered correctly nearly 100% of the time, so why do I still feel so dysphoric? Does anybody else who passes consistently feel this way?
I realize this is kind of a privileged question to be asking, but I'm really struggling right now. In the last few months, my transition really accelerated. Starting around late february/early march, it was like someone suddenly flipped a switch and the world started reading me as a girl consistently. I went from people rarely gendering me (right or wrong), to hearing "miss", "ma'am", and "young lady" everytime I left the house. I also get consistently gendered correctly on the phone, so I know my voice is good too.
I get treated that way even if I'm being lazy and not wearing makeup. (I'm in the process of doing electrolysis, but so far I've only gotten parts of my upper lip done) I should be happy right? Barring growing my hair out, losing a bit more weight, and eventually (fingers crossed) getting surgery, I've essentially achieved my goal. So why is my dysphoria still shitty? It still negatively impacts how I view myself, and I feel like I've only gotten more sensitive to it in the last few months. Like, don't get me wrong, I am THRILLED that not only are people reading me as female, that they're treating me that way too. But I still feel sadness when I look at myself in the mirror a lot.
Idk I hope this makes sense, its kind of a long ramble.
