Is this against the CS:GO rules?

Alright guys. This post is not entirely about whether or not this "issue" is against the rules, I'm mostly just hoping to stir up a bit of a conversation. I can't seem to find anything online similar to the "issue" that I'm having, so I'm wondering if anyone else has any input to give on this matter.

To cut a long story short, my laptop has built in "wall hacks" in CS:GO.

Okay, its not exactly wall hacks. It only occurs through smoke grenades, but you get the general idea. I can literally see through smoke. This only occurs on my laptop (Lenovo Z50-70) and not on any other computer I've used. I've never used hacks or any kind of fancy configs or anything (I doubt its even achievable with configs, but I'm just putting this out there).

Instead of me trying to explain it, I'll just post some links to images straight from my gameplay:

As you can see, the smoke is there, but I can see shapes through it. Its like the smoke isn't fully rendering or something. As soon as I step into the smoke, it fully renders (ie. It becomes completely opaque) but as soon as I step out, I can see through it again.

This raises a couple big questions:

  1. Is this technically against the rules? If I didn't know any better, I could live my life not knowing that this was abnormal. If I had only ever played on my laptop, and never watched anyone else play it on Twitch/Youtube, I wouldn't know that it was abnormal.

  2. Obviously I would eventually get overwatched and probably banned, but how is this my fault? I don't have any way of turning it on or off, I've played with my graphics settings and nothing changes it.

  3. What the hell is causing this?!
