How long does IP bans last?

I'm in the military and i live in the barracks so i use shitty barracks wifi (boingo wireless) everyone has been getting this error code ws-37397-9 which means that you have been IP banned. I was wondering how long does it take for these things to be resolved

Sorry for shitty sentence structure and grammar, i eat crayons for a living.
