Speaker playing nothing but static

Hey all, I've run into the issue today of one of my Klipsch WB-14 icons playing nothing but static. I'm not exactly sure what the issue is but after opening up both speakers I noticed a piece on the board seems to be fried. If anyone could help me further ID what this piece and the issue it is causing is it would be greatly appreciated. The piece I'm referring to is the little white nodule in the one picture while the same piece on the other picture is brown. Thanks http://imgur.com/a/dn2yR
