New 2017 MacBook Pro - Looking for accessory input
I just grabbed my first MacBook with the 4 USB Type c ports, so I'm looking for some input on some accessories i will need. (everything i currently own is USB-A)
the main use will be for photo and video editing, so my main interests is external storage (have the 1TB SSD on board) and file transfer through USB (Type A), SD & Micro SD Cards.
-
I'm looking at PNY or Samsung SSD's with USB-C connection, is there any kind of "backpack" for portable HD storage, to avoid it being "loose" with sitting at a desk or when moving throughout an office?
-
I'd also like to grab a HUB, but it appears all the reliable/highly rated ones require a short cord, extending the hub from the MacBook (looks a bit messy, but i knew this is what i was getting into when i bought it).
-
the one i really like to look/fit of, is the Satechi Hub Adapter , but it reviews are saying it effects WiFi (not sure if the issue has been fixed with the 2017 Models) , occasionally loses connection and gets hot quickly.
-
If i go with a Hub, they provide the SD slot or a USB-A Slot for a card reader, but how about one of these USB-C SD readers?
-
and lastly, this little USB-C to USB-A adapter, to where i could just use my own UBS hub for all my connections?
Thanks for any input and apologies for all the Satechi links, they just happened to be the best rated on amazon, so they were used as a reference.
