Looking for a designer

Hi r/graphic_design,

A few years a go I found a designer/illustrator and I have forgotten who he is and his website. He illustrated characters and UI Designs for app/games. He illustrated amazing vector based cartoon logo's too. I believe he was from Canada or America, had won a lot of awards, and had a dark themed website (black) and his about page had an illustration of himself (white man with a beard and glasses?). I think his name was David something, but can not be too sure.

He used to be on all the "Top 10 freelance portfolio website" blog posts and that, but I can't see, to see him any more.

Can anyone help me?
