Wine. Please tell me what wine I can drink!

Ok... I just got asked to go out this evening, and I can NOT drink vodka if I'm out and about. Don't ask.. it isn't pretty. But I CAN drink wine. I love wine. Wine and I have a very deep, meaningful relationship. Vodka is more like a booty call. Please tell me what I can drink.. varietals, etc.
