Behavioral question about Sun Conure

Hey all,

We have a new baby (5 months old) Sun Conure for just over a month now. He's been great and noisy as usual and we just got back from the vet with a clean bill of health about 2 weeks ago.

In the last 2 days though we have been experiencing very strange percussive squawking and non-stop head bobbing no matter what we do -- hold him, play with him, let him out, cage him, etc.

I've taken some videos.

This behavior stops at night and when we're not in sight, though when he's out on his desk perch or with us, he gets upset when we leave the room and calls for us.

I've taken a few videos of this behavior. Unfortunately he got a little stage fright and dialed back the squawking 90% while being filmed. Normally the squawking is every 10-15 seconds.

Notice the extremely long neck extensions on the second video about halfway through. He sometimes decides to do very long neck extensions when bobbing, but I'm not sure why.

He's eating and drinking normally from what we can tell, but he has had loose stools ever since we got him, and still does. He was on a crappy seed diet at Petco when we got him but we switched him to pellets immediately and he's always eaten them. Our vet gave us a probiotic to apply to his food for 2 weeks but it doesn't seem to be helping. Is the loose stool and the behavior shown in the video a cause for alarm?

Is this normal?
