Anxiety issues have been exacerbated since transitioning, and it's affecting my performance at work, and in turn giving me all sorts of stress... advice?
So as the title says... I went full time last year in late August. A lot has happened since - I got hired on at work (was a contractor), we changed offices, I got a girlfriend and she moved in with me, I've been on and off all sorts of antidepressants. Any or all of these could be causing me a lot of stress, but going full time (MTF) is definitely part of it...
I work in IT, specifically doing customer service. I answer phones all day long. Having to use girl voice all day is really tough for me, especially on days I'm not feeling well.
Additionally, we joined offices with the rest of our company. Before, it was just our support and customer services team in one office, while dev and everyone else were in another. Now we're all in one, and I'm in a big open area with a ton of people around. It doesn't feel good, again especially if I'm having a bad day anyways. Lately, I've been on a big downturn with my mood. I've worn a hoodie and no makeup every day for like 2 months.
Normally I'd chalk this up to just regular ups and downs, but it's been going on so long and at such an intense level that I really can't ignore it anymore. I've gained all the weight I lost back, plus another 15 lbs, and been feeling gross and ugly as a result. I've missed doctors appointments, I'm moving super slow at work, I don't sleep well... basically everything's been more difficult. Things with my GF are great for the most part, but I worry sometimes if she feels neglected or like I'm taking her for granted. She asked me last night if I still like her, which really hit me pretty hard and made me feel guilty.
I guess I'm more just ranting than asking for advice, since I don't really know what advice someone could give, but damn has this all been really tough. Maybe I should find a job where I can work from home more regularly... but I don't want to leave so soon when I just got hired on in November :\
Edit: Oh god and the brain fog. It's been horrible, I almost got myself killed when I completely blanked out while driving the other day. I've just been reading about dissociation lately, and I don't want to self diagnose yet, but I can really relate to a lot of the stories people are sharing about it, too.
