(Books) Books order question

I was gifted Blood of Elves from a friend after expressing interest in these books. The problem is I don't own The Last Wish or Sword of Destiny. Should I wait to read Blood of Elves until I have read the two short story collections or will it be fine to start it?

Edit thanks for all the responses I'll wait until I can pick up them up to read Blood of Elves.
