Csgo fps stuttering?!

I installed csgo on a new installation of Antergos yesterday, only to find out that it is stuttering severely. Fps goes from about 10 to 70, sometimes 100 every second or two, not stable at all.

The system has an i5 4570, 8gb ram and everything is installed on an SSD.

Before this I used to play on a laptop, also with integrated graphics and antergos, and it still is more stable, although with less fps and lower resolution.

I tried disabling multicore rendering in-game, but it didn't seem to change anything for me.

Maybe there's something else I'm not seeing here?
