SecuGen USB Finger Print Reader

Sorry, new to XenApp. Running a XenApp 7.6 VDA on Server 2008 R2 RDS VM. Trying to pass through the SecuGen USB Finger Print reader and I can't figure it out.

I have looked at a number of articles referring to "Generic USB Redirection" and I have that working on my test Win10 and Server 2016 VDA.

However, is such a task even possible on Server 2008 R2? If so what did they call that solution? Can't find anything...
