If your building a ryzen 5 build listen!

Okay so i was building my pc with a ryzen 5 1400 and had all the parts put together. I turned it on and it doesn't post. So of course i freak out and try to see whats wrong i gave up after a week. I contacted a pc technician and he said my mobo was defective. So i contact my mobo company and they actually told me the board needs a bios update in order to post. They said i would need a ryzen 7 to update the bios but they said i could send it to them and they will do it for me so i can use my ryzen 1400. So moral of the story is if your using a ryzen 5 cpu and it wont post hopes this helps.
