Reasonable Split? Comments/suggestions appreciated
I started up the RR a few months ago (after a long period of inconsistent training). Now I am considering going to a push/pull/leg split so I can have more volume and rest between exercises. I have been reading several split routines posted recently, and it seems what I had in mind is more intensive on the upper body. Is my routine a bit heavy or does anyone have suggestions on what exercises to include/exclude? Thanks in advance.
Goals: Gain strength, muscle ups, HSPUs, front/back levers, planche, look good
Stats: M/25/5'9''/180 lbs
Routine: Push/Pull/Leg
Every day
- Warmup and Bodyline Drills
- Skill Work: ring support hold, handstand, hanging L-sit
Pull Workout
- 4 sets of Pullups (muscle up progression)
- 4 sets of Feet-Raised Rows (front lever progression)
- 3 sets of Back Lever progression
- 3 sets of Archer Pullup Progression
Push Workout
- 4 sets of Wall HSPU (HSPU progression)
- 4 sets of Pseudo Planche Pushups (Planche progression)
- 3 sets of RTO Dips progression
- 3 sets of One Arm Pushup progression
Leg Workout
- 4 sets of Pistol Squat progression
- 3 sets of One-Leg Calf Raises
- 4 sets of Box Jumps (Jump Squats)
- 3 sets of Bodyweight Hamstring Curls
Planning on doing usual split: Push/Pull/Leg, repeat, then a day of rest
Is this a reasonable split or am I spreading myself over too many different strength paths?
