Lamy Al-Star issue

So I've had my Al-Star for close to six months and use it daily. I switched my nib from a fine to and extra-fine recently, and after I did that I noticed ink starting to appear at the top of my grip section which had never happened before. I made sure my nib was on right and everything, and even if I store it nib up there still ends up being ink in different spots on my grip section. It never happened before and I just didn't know if anyone else had the same problem or a solution to this issue. Thanks guys!!
