Artifact research notes after boost

So my Rogue just hit 110 and I've started researching artifact knowledge using the companion app. I now have 4 saved and ready to use, however I also just hit research lvl 40 on my Paladin.

If I buy the 1-40 heirloom research notes on my Paladin and apply it on my Rogue, could I then use my 4 saved notes and boost it to 44 in one go?
