Same cigar etiquette?

I enjoy smoking with friends way more than I do alone. I view it as a social activity, and I appreciate sitting, BSing, talking. Most of my friends aren't as serious about cigars as I am, but they are happy to smoke if I'm offering cigars. I don't feel taken advantage of, I'm pleased to do it, but I usually try to bring a 5-pack, so that we're all smoking the same thing.

Would it be rude or strange if I smoke one cigar myself, and hand a friend something different? Not necessarily worse, just different.

What if I bring an assorted bunch and let the guys choose what appeals to them? They really don't know what they're looking at.

Anyone else offer cigars to friends? What's common etiquette for smoking different cigars together?
