Shinobi still unpunishable?

So I left the game after Ubisoft added the completely broken characters, and came back just now to play now that I'd heard they'd somewhat improved it.

Alas, it seems nothing has changed. No idea what had been altered about Shinobi but his kick is still unpunishable, and he can still just kick and retreat followed by more kicking.

Centurion still gets BS combos, and is only punishable with lights on dodge so one screw up from him is minor but if you screw up you lose 70% of your health.

Literally what were they thinking adding such a broken character. Oh wait, I know- season pass sales. I used to love this game and defend Ubi for making such a unique concept into a game, but honestly what the hell is all this BS. they were so close to a balanced game and now every mode is a compete shitshow.
