This meta is infuriating.

I gotta vent. I hate this meta so much. And i lived through monstrosities like OP consume monsters back in the day.

But this... this is just not a fun meta at all. I played 8 games today, EVERY single one of em against skellige, and the same deck essentially - bears, axmen, freyas, shieldmaidens.

What the fuck are you even supposed to do against them?! I can peter them, mardroeme them, and maybe igni them if they set up badly. But that's like 3 removals that can be easily neglected by priestesses. I mean what the fuck? I used to hate weather for this reaason - you can play weather more times than the opponent can remove it. But at least weather can be countered by good positioning.

And the fucking shieldmaidens? in R3, they're a potential 21 point swing! 21 fucking points! And all you need is one soft removal to wound ONE enemy unit, which skellige has a LOT (holgerd, archers, hunters, myrgtbrakke... plus, special removals) and you got your 21 points free, + deck thinning, + its a bronze card.

All you can do now is create a deck specifically to counter this one deck, and basically butcher it against every other faction. And even that is not enough often, because it's just so powerful. It's like armageddon in deck form, you can try to outpower it, outlock it, outremove it, but you won't.
