How do I deal with an annoying neighbour whom I can hear through the thin walls?

Just around two weeks ago I moved to a new place to save some money. It’s a self-contained studio room so I have my own bathroom and kitchen. Unfortunately, when checking the room before moving in, I did not realise how thin the walls are between the rooms. It’s like being in the next room but with doors open… I can practically hear everything my douchebag neighbour is doing. I can hear him barf, talk, watch TV until 1am almost every night… I think he is Italian and one day I heard him say “Boun appetite” before eating. I thought wtf are you an idiot – you are the only one in your room…

How do I deal with him? Should I talk to him? I doubt he would do anything about it… The most annoying part is that he stays up late watching TV. I can’t fall asleep because I think he has the TV hanged on the wall which is the wall between his and my room, so it’s pretty loud.
