To: Other players Subject: How do you do this??

Hey, I am pretty new to the Overwatch, had it for merely a week or so and enjoying the gamre so far, although I wanted to ask a question about the competitive mode.

Currently I am level 70, started comp at around 40 and after first 10 qualification matches I was aquired a silver 1800pts. I was like huh, not that bad. So I kept playing and it was getting worse and worse every match. This is my first post on this reddit and I know many people post rants about bad team ect... but I want to shed some light on the situation:

I really try to be the best teammate I can. Asking other players about our strategy, not chasing others to death but focusing on the objective, not rush in solo but wait for the team if most of us get killed, discussing which hero should I pick to fill in most effective strategy (I really like to play on every position so I don't mind if somebody asks me if I could change from DPS to 2nd tank or support) but people don't even answer me if I ask what would be the best for our team. They don't give a shit or don't know shit. I have no idea which one. Everybody's playing their own game. I get it, deal with it and such.

TL;DR: I did everything I could to be the best and supportive teammate, dropped down from 1800 to 1480 and teams just keep getting worse.

The question: is it even possible to progress in comp from the point bronze wutout playing like a champ and carrying the entire game?? Because at this point it seems like a dead-end.

Pls, share tips on what can I do to boost this "career" at least a little?
