My job is a pointless dead end but I like it. Future-proofing?

My job barely uses any cs, only very basic scripting and is mostly focused on crappy, dying technology nobody uses. Our processes are bad and we have no coherent standards. I am too junior to change any of this.

But I like the job. The pay is good, I love my co-workers, the office is a great environment, excellent work life balance, etc.

If I could, I would just stay here for life. However, this place is terrible for raising a family (high crime), and the trend at the company seems to be towards outsourcing every department (leaked policy). So there's no realistic long term future here.

If I stay here as long as possible:

a. How do I best future proof myself?

b. How much can I reasonably future proof myself (will I end up coming out after 5 years and end up having to go for internships again?)

c. Should I be trying to leave now?
