Learning the English vocabulary after being taught the American vocabulary through the years?

I would like to learn the English vocabulary, but have no idea on what resources I could use to learn the differences.

It's mostly because my accent is slowly turning to a more English kind of accent, in comparison to American, and would like to make good use of it by actually speaking it properly with proper vocabulary.
