(Colorado, US) went to go help friend stuck in Florida back to Colorado with some of her other friends, got treated horribly by them before being abandoned in Florida

Its a long story, but I will make it as clear as I can. A long time friend of mine had told me she had a bad breakup with her boyfriend and needed help getting back to Colorado. Me and 2 of her friends agreed to go and get her. The problem we had with airplanes was that the pet policy required up to date vaccinations, and the stranded friend had a dog and cat, both unvaccinated. I did the math and found that if we drove the speed limit and took turns driving, we could be there and back in 5 days. On the 2nd day of driving the car broke down in Shreveport, Louisiana. We had to get a 600 dollar fix, and we managed to scrape some money together. Unfortunately the car broke down 20 miles out from Shreveport and we found out the car had a much more serious and expensive problem that would cost 2000 dollars to fix. The mechanics told us that the engine had this problem for a while and the roadtrip accelerated the damage. I was blamed anyways because the car broke down when I was driving. We managed, after begging our family members to help out and I myself taking out a 900 dollar loan, to pay it off. It should be noted that the 2 other 'friends' said that I didnt pay enough and should have payed more. After finally making it to Florida after 7 days and picking up the one person I thought would be good to me, I only found her to be quiet and distant. This continued over the next 2 days. On the 9th day, I found out that in addition to not letting me drive or copilot out of malice, the group was intentionally taking a very long time to get back to colorado. I needed to get back home, I had a job and college. No one else cared. I told them we needed to get home, and then they threatened to throw all my stuff out of the car. When I didnt stop, they proceeded to throw my stuff out of the car and left me in the middle of a convienience store parking lot. I had to pay a 264 dollar bus ticket to get home. My question for you is, do I have grounds to sue them?
