Why did riot get rid of the tribunal?

I personally really liked the system and made me feel better when I get trolled seeing how much worse it could of been. But on a serious note didn't the stats from it really help? I mean I know riot wants to go through more internally but we are a community of slackers millions large. Could review much more than anything riot has planned. Pls bring tribunal back
