I'm still not handling things, but no one will believe me.
I don't know what I'm doing. Every day is just near misses and damage control, not even whilst trying to look calm and confident, but they've bought it anyway. I don't know if they seriously believe that facade or if they just want to believe it, but it's all a lie either way. My constant state of panic and defeatism just comes across as "organised" and "driven". If I express fears over failing then I'm being "humble". If I take on too much work and begin to break at the seams then I'm a "go-getter".
How far do I have to fall before people will help me out? How can I cry for help any louder than actually saying "I need help"?
My professors, friends, family, and counsellors all dismiss my worries. My life is on the verge of falling to pieces, but rather than prevent that they'd prefer to wait until it does happen and then swoop in with their useless platitudes and the "Oh, we had no idea" bullshit. If they actually want to help then they should help now, not just when my life is shit enough that they pity me.
