Are more females or males playing the Tales games?

Everytime I play a Tales of- game I have the feeling that these gamese more targeted at female than male gamers. E.g., my bf found Tales of Berseria to be boring when I played through it. Maybe that's just because he's not into the anime design or interested in it's gameplay... The only people I know who like to play Tales games in my home country are mostly female, too.

So, is there a general information on the target audience?

(Sry for my bad English....)
