Ranked Matchmaking for new players and more feedback
First of all, this post is intended to give feedback to the devs and I know some of this things are already being worked on but I want to share my experience so far and ask for advice.
I started playing yesterday with a Lite version and I asked here what should I play. The major advice was to play vs IA to learn the champion and then go to rankeds, since casual matchmaking wasn't good. I played around 5 matches and felt like once I knew the basics I was losing time there: the match against IA was like kill bots ASAP and I felt like I spent more time waiting than playing. There should be a 1v1 vs IA version so I can actually practice combos, dodging, etc, without my ally killing them so quickly; I know there's the training mode but it's not the same.
Then I decided to go ranked based on the advice I got. I queued for 2v2 and 3v3, I only played 3v3 twice and it was with a team of plats, diamonds. Obviously my team flamed me and we got stomped; I'm not queuing for 3v3 anytime soon. In 2v2, games were more balanced, I started playing with people who were not better than me and after some games got to bronze 2 and later silver 8. Here comes the problem, I started playing with people who really know the game and I got flamed a lot. I don't know what's the level suppossed to be in that elo, but I just started playing and I have to learn tons of things. Also I was rising really fast, wining far more points than losing, and it didn't feel good to rise 3 divisions after geting hard carried by my ally. I even got matched with golds and high silvers and I couldn't do anthing (maybe i suck, maybe I need more time to learn the game), my teammate was flaming me for not dodging X ability that I don't even know what it does. Maybe I shuldn't go ranked and play casual? Or just stick to IA? I feel like there's no mode to start learning the game with more people like you or maybe I'm missing something.
Another issue I found in the Lite version, and I know they are already working on it, is that I can't learn what other heroes do if I can't play them; I come from LoL and I know the best way of learning how to play against a champion is to play it. Another issue I've got is I have the quest of playing a hero from the west but I don't have anyone and the quest is just stuck there until i get enough gold to buy a champion.
There are some other minor things that could be improved but this are the main ones. I liked the game so far and plan on keep playing for a long time, I know it's in development and they have time to improve and make the game perfect, I hope this post helps giving the view of a new player, I'll keep posting feedback if I see it's okay. Sorry for the long post and for my english.
PS: I have some friends who want to join too.
