Can my school district track my internet searches?

My friend told me to search up this girl he found. What he didn't tell me was that she was a pornstar until after I searched her up. I'm worried if my school district can see that I searched her up because I was logged into Canvas at the time and was not using Incognito. I'm using my own personal laptop and wifi. Can the school find out? I'm sorry if I seem like I'm overreacting; I'm very paranoid.

Thanks!

EDIT: Canvas is similar to BlackBoard; it's where teachers post assignments/answer keys, in case no one knows what it is. Thanks again!
