Avocado plant, can i save him?

i started growing this avocado seed in march using the water glass method. it was growing good until sadly it fell by accident and broke in half and the root was cut from the base... this happened a week ago, i placed it again in the water hoping for a regrowth but from what i can see it did not change much and it made a strange trasparent gel.
