Wisdom tooth.

I have a wisdom tooth coming it. It hurts, but so far it's been bearable with otc meds. The thing is I'm absolutely terrified of any kind of infection. Have any of you had a wisdom tooth come in without getting one? I have no idea how painful an infected wisdom tooth would be. Maybe I should go to urgent care today? Maybe I'm just being a giant baby? Who knows. It really doesn't help that I have anxiety that is triggered by health. Ugh. Any words of wisdom from you guys?
