c34f791 pixel woes and amazon b-grade

Very annoyed right now, ordered C34f791 in the beginning of the year from ocuk which had annoying dust spec that was at the point where the screen meets the bezel, so it was very noticeable. Returned this unit.

Then several months later decided to try this monitor again and ordered this time from Amazon as I heard that are great way to buy monitors due to return policy.

Well new one arrived and this time had TWO dust specs on top right and top left corner covering about 4-6 pixels each.

I returned it for a replacement and the replacement comes in with:

NO colour calibration certificate No energy certificate Chipped styrofoam Defective DP with a pin/wire sticking out of it. The monitor itself has around 6 different clusters of 4-6 pixel cluster ranging from stuck pixels, dead pixels and dust specs.

This was clearly a defective unit that was sent back to amazon previously, so as a replacement they sent me a used monitor. For £730 they send me a monitor that they know (at least should know) is defective and used.

I am completely outrages by this and writing this as a cautionary tale for others who might want to buy this monitor, it is great (bar freesync that doesn't work) but the quality control for this model is utter ****.

I told amazon I am returning it unless they can guaratee that the next replacement unit will not be used nor defective but lets be honest amazon email representative can not do this so obviously I will return it for a full refund.

I love this monitor but alas I can not find non-defective one so my search for a new monitor goes on and my 1080p TN model that I have been using since 2009 with a dead pixel that I had on the first day since arrive (idiot me decided not to return because it technically doesn't breach pixel policy of ebuyer).

Edit: Whats worse, the refund option I get right now is only for store credit, I will have to contact amazon to sort this out and get full refund back into my bank account. Absolutely scammy behavior by amazon.
