[Android] App forgets position after I open an external link and come back in certain scenarios

Let's say you google something, and one of the search results is a reddit post. You open it, and the reddit website asks you to either open it in the reddit app or use the mobile site. I choose the app (which I already have installed). As I scroll through user posts, I see a link I have to click. When I hit back button to come back to the reddit post in the app, the app reloads all the comments and takes me to the top, effectively forgetting my position. This makes reading horrible if there are several posts and lots of links (which usually is the case).

This issue does not seem to happen if I open the app first, then go to the reddit post, click on a link and hit back. Then, the app doesn't reload the comments and remembers my position.
