31 in 31: Day 5. Light at the end of the tunnel?

The season though long and painful through most of it actually seemed to end on a seemingly high note with the Bruins having FINALLY made the playoffs. But even with the playoffs in sights the bruins had a rough outlook ahead of them. They either play a trap team ...sorry, CRAP TEAM. (fuck the 1-3-1 ) or play a solid Washington Capitals team who's been knocking on the door of the Stanley cup for the past few seasons.

The boston bruins seemed to have lucked out at first glance when the match-up vs the senators was locked into place. Unfortunately for the Bruins they had a couple holes in their roster that still needed to be filled. Luckily for Boston they had some help coming in the form of youngster Charlie McAvoy. A talented D-man who played his heart out.

The Boston Bruins would eventually fall in game six after Kurally helped the Bruins win in game five which took not one but TWO overtimes.

The off season that followed the crazy year and surprise playoff appearance was filled with anticipation for the arrival of the Las Vegas Knights and also with nervousness as teams scrambled around to protect every asset they could.

On June 18th the list of players who are protected and available will be revealed giving Vegas just about three days to make their selections.
